The New York Giants have made many additions to the team this Offseason. The one area management did not address was the Offensive Line. I believe this was a mistake, and may be the reason the Giants don’t make it into the playoffs. The third preseason game was truly scary for us Giants fans. It highlighted the lack the need for help on our O-line. We need Ereck Flowers (74) to take the next step, so far he hasn’t shown it. Granted Justin Pugh (67) was out, but that is no excuse for the inept blocking. It hasn’t just been entirely the fault of the O-line. Tight ends and Backs have been missing blocks as well. Getting Will Johnson (46) back will help but will it be enough? I would like to hope so, but I doubt it. We needed Jerry Reese to make a move on the O-line we all know John Jerry (77) And Marshall Newhouse (73) weren’t going to cut it. Eli Manning’s quick release can only hide but so many deficiencies. This was evident this past saturday vs the Jets. I hope Ben McAdoo and Mike Solari (Offensive Line Coach) can scheme something up to help out the offensive line woes.
