Giants Vs Ravens Preview/Prediction Week 6

The Giants will need a strong performance from the offensive line for this weeks game against the Ravens. We have all definitely heard that before. We needed a good performance the past 3 weeks that we haven’t gotten. Weston Richburg, Ereck Flowers, and Bobby Hart are the spotlight here. They are all playing below their ability. Weston and Flowers especially need to turn it around. I believe Weston will turn it around the real question is about the 2015 1st rd pick Ereck Flowers. We need Ereck Flowers to develop into the franchise left tackle he was drafted to be. He has hurt the team too frequently the past few games. Pro Football Focus has him ranked as the 28th best tackle in the league and a 76.4 grade through 5 weeks. These are average numbers and we need Flowers to be more than average to have a chance against T-Sizzle and the Ravens pass rush.

Jimmy Smith seems to not like Odell Beckham too much.

I’m not too sure what made Jimmy Smith feel this way, but either way Odell Beckham has refused to comment on what Jimmy Smith said. That is is probably the right way for Odell to go he has become a target for these defensive backs and he recognizes that. Odell Beckham showed great humor last week when he hugged the kicking net after scoring his first touchdown of the season. It showed me that he is looking at all this the right way and has already adapted to the criticism. He will still get emotional but he will not let it affect the outcome of game any longer.

Superstars make big plays in big games and that is exactly what the Giants need this week against the Ravens. Marshal Yanda will not play sunday. He is far and away the Ravens best offensive lineman. That will make things easier for Johnathan Hankins and Snacks Harrison who haven’t been playing to their ability. We need them to push the pocket so Flacco cannot step into his throws because he has a cannon of an arm. The Giants have the talent on both sides of the ball to put away an injured Ravens team. With a win on sunday the Giants would move back to .500 and be a in a decent place going to London to face the LA Rams (Remember that game will air at 9:30am est). On the other hand a loss would prove tough to recover from. With Tom Rony getting healthy the Cowboys may run off with the division. Kirk Cousins has curbed the turnovers and the Redskins are winning. The Eagles defense is a top 5 unit that has to be game planned for extensively. However you put it 2-4 is not pretty. We need more from Ben McAdoo and we will see what he has to offer at 1pm sunday.

Giants 24
Giants offense puts on a show against a depleted Ravens team. The success will come from sustained drives and keeping the defense fresh.

Ravens 17
The wide receivers will be too much for Jimmy Smith and co to handle. Beckham will have his best game of the season with at least two catches coming against Jimmy personally. T-Sizzle will get his with 1.5 sacks of Eli Manning but the Giants will take the W and move to 3-3 on the #RoadBackTo500.
