Giants Vs Bears Review Week 11

Week after week the Giants defense has done the same thing week in and week out. They repeatedly have been able to hold off opposing offenses and keep the lead for the Giants. They have shown they are worth every penny and every addition has made an impact. The influx of free agent talent has put the Giants squarely back in contention for a division crown.

Positives

JPP
Jason Pierre Paul’s story is nothing short of amazing at this point. He was so maligned just a year ago. I myself was thoroughly disappointed in him, but JPP has turned it all around. Today he had 2.5 sacks a batted pass a forced fumble, and run stuffs. He has come back to be the dominant player everyone knows he could be. JPP should be a top priority in the off season.

Eli Manning
Eli looked great today. He had a lot of nice throws had great pocket presence. He finally didn’t throw an interception in this game he threw for 2 touchdowns and completed 21/36. He extended plays and took care of the ball throughout the game. There were some near interceptions that could have been game changing. Eli did what he needed to do beat the Bears.

Rashad Jennings
Rashad Jennings had over 120 scrimmage yards today and they were hard fought. He came through on multiple third downs and made a few nice catches. He also picked up the blitz well which is always forgotten about when fans evaluate Running backs. This was by far the Giants best game running the ball and Rashad benefited from that.

Landon Collins
Collins gets his 5th pick and is continuing his push for DPOY.

Negatives
The Offense came out flat and then fired it up in the 3rd quarter. They then reverted back to flat when it mattered and almost became so conservative that the game got away from them. They need to figure out a way to finish the games and give themselves some cushion so the team and the fans are not are not so worried all 4th quarter long. The Bears almost came back and it would have been hard to blame the defense as fast as they kept getting put out there.

Robbie Gould
He missed two extra points that kept the game real tight. He shouldn’t feel too bad though The entire NFL hit a new record with 11 missed extra points this week. So I guess the rule change is working.

Overall
The Giants move to 7-3 and are right behind the Cowboys. They need to continue their streak against the 0-11 Browns. They still need to be able to run it better and the injury to Marshall Newhouse doesn’t help

Whats Next
Giants take on the Browns in what should be a win but they are not to be over looked. Just like the Browns are not to be over looked and they gave the Giants all they could handle today.

Serious injury to Leonard Floyd Prayers up for him and his family. His movement looks good and signs are encouraging!!
